The following link describes in detail the layout of the camp of Israel in the wilderness mentioned in weekend service. Thanks to Julia Ng for tracking it down.

The way the Lord seems to go out of His way to paint really amazing pictures in the Old Testament which point to the sacrifice of His son.  For those of you who missed the service, essentially we were looking at the better sacrifice of Jesus compared to the earthly sacrifice in the earthly tabernacle.  Yet even in the earthly there is a copy or sketch of the heavenly, the author of Hebrews points out.   The way the tribes were arranged around the tabernacle where the Presense of God met them is in the form of a cross where our Lord and Savior died for us.  Thus the earthly tabernacle shadows the way that the Lord devised for us to enter into His presense though the death of His Son who died once for all.

I have not blogged in awhile, but that makes me quite backlogged in dishing out a number of interesting articles, testimonies and research which hopefully I can catch up on.  Stay tuned as well for some features and posts by some of the staff here assisting me.

Blessings,

Lloyd
