I was blessed by a ministry update that was sent out to our staff by a member of our pastoral team who attended a Solutions Pregnancy Center fundraising banquet last week. I thought many of you would be interested in reading it too, so it is pasted below.

The Solutions Pregnancy Center fundraising banquet I attended last Thursday evening blessed me. It was great to be able to learn about the work that God is doing in one of the ministries that we support at CCOB, and I would like to encourage others to check this ministry out too. Their website is http://www.solutionsphc.com.

Solutions is a faith-based ministry committed to demonstrating the love of Christ to women that are facing unplanned pregnancies and or sexually related health problems. They share the gospel, promote sexual abstinence, provide help by offering pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, 24 hour helpline, mentoring programs, maternity and baby items, and a host of other practical aid.

The most awesome part is that through this ministry, the lives of 57 babies were saved this past year, and 12 women gave their lives to the Lord!
 
Their vision for 2007 is to:
•    Establish a licensed medical clinic for the provision of SDS testing and other medical services.
•    Reach more middle and high school students with sexual abstinence education programs.
•    Reach more abortion vulnerable clients via Internet advertising.

So, why am I sharing this? Because we never know when God will bring someone to us, who may be in need of this ministry and it is good to have this information. But also, I am sharing this because I want to ask you to be praying for this ministry. Lives are being saved. And although it may seem pale in comparison to the ones that are being killed through abortions each year, wouldn't it be awesome to see this ministry being used on an even larger scale to influence the decisions of more women?
